Richy Bennett (Australia)
Richy is a pioneering consultant and author in Surf and Performance Psychology. Rich was the first psychologist to work globally on the World Surf League, authored the seminal book “The Surfer’s Mind” and has held several senior positions within Australian Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games Teams, Institutes of Sport and National Sport Organisations. Richy’s evolution in psychology and life is highly experiential and for 20+ years he has consciously immersed in Eastern wisdom, Indigenous traditions and mindful, heartful play with Mother Nature.
Arising from his practice of one hundred consecutive days of dawn meditation and sunrise surfs to raise funds for mental health services, Richy’s new book “100 Dawns” is a poetic guide to cultivating our gifts of mindfulness, heartfulness and harmony with the world around and our world within.
Richy is based in Jan Juc, Australia and consults locally and globally in a range of performance domains, including sports, extreme/adventure pursuits, performing arts, emergency/military services, family, healthcare, education, career and corporate settings.
