Dr. Oliver Farley (New Zealand)
Dr Olly Farley is one of only five people in the World who has completed a PhD on surfing performance enhancement. It is through this knowledge base that FPT delivers personal training in a far more in-depth, professional and sport science approach that is proven within high performance training and is research backed.
Olly has been working within the Strength and Conditioning field for 12 years and in that time has completed a Bachelor of Sport (Coaching: Unitec), Post Grad Dip (Sports Science: AUT), Masters (Sports Science: AUT) and PhD (Sports Science: Edith Cowan University).
Olly was the head exercise physiologist at the Hurley Surfing Australia High Performance Centre (2013-2016) where he completed his PhD and also worked with WCT and WQS professional surfers.The past 2 years Olly has been training up-and-coming junior NZ athletes (Hockey, football, sailors, netball, cycling, swimming, sprinting and Paralympians) in the Pathway to Podium programme – many of whom are in NZ national teams.Board Sports is a passion of Olly’s and is a training service to all board riders to help develop their abilities.
